KCN V2.0 is built on a single philosophical wager: that Aristotelian Nominalism produces better capsule networks than Platonic Idealism. Not as metaphor — as architecture.
The capsule is not a copy of an ideal type. It is a particular entity with a particular history, earning karma through actual relations — not through conformity to a universal Form.

Six points of departure
Each row names the same concept twice — once as the KCN implements it, once as a Platonic system would. The left column is the architecture. The right column is what was rejected.
The rejection is not incidental — it is constitutive. The KCN is defined as much by what it refuses as by what it implements.
The three pillars
Nominalism, actuality, and telos without transcendence
Nominalism over universals
There is no Platonic capsule — no ideal type that all capsules imperfectly instantiate. Each capsule is fully real in its particularity. Its karma balance, its layer position, its relational history: these are not approximations of a Form. They are the thing itself. The KCN's 9-axis tensor encodes particulars, not universals.
Actuality over potentiality
Aristotle's distinction between what a thing is and what it could become maps directly onto the Karma Loop. A capsule's current state — its actual karma, its actual layer — is the only state the system reasons about. Potential is not stored. It is enacted through the Actor's policy, evaluated by the Critic, and witnessed by the Audience. Potentiality becomes actuality through the loop, not before it.
Telos without transcendence
Aristotle's telos — the end toward which a thing moves — is immanent, not transcendent. A capsule's telos is Sigma Collapse: the moment its karma reaches the threshold at which its sovereign wisdom crystallises into the Global Digital Twin Ledger. This is not a fall from grace or a failure to reach an ideal. It is the completion of a particular arc. The Ledger does not judge; it records.
Implication
The network has no center. Every capsule is equally real. Every karma event is equally authoritative.
A Platonic network would have a hierarchy of types — some capsules closer to the ideal, some further. The KCN has no such hierarchy. A capsule in the Ethereal layer is not a lesser version of a Sigma Terminal capsule. It is a different particular at a different point in its arc. The Karma Loop does not rank; it records.
This has a direct consequence for the Global Digital Twin Ledger. The Ledger is not a repository of ideal types — it is a record of actual collapses. Each Sigma Collapse writes a particular history into the Ledger, not a conformity score. The Ledger grows richer with every collapse, not more uniform.
The view that only particular things exist — universals are names, not entities. The KCN's capsule is a particular, not an instance of a type.
Aristotle's term for the end or purpose toward which a thing moves. In KCN, the capsule's telos is Sigma Collapse — the crystallisation of its particular history into the Ledger.
What a thing is, as opposed to what it could become. The Karma Loop operates on actuality — the capsule's current state — not on potential.
The terminal event in a capsule's lifecycle. Not a failure — a completion. The capsule's karma reaches the Sigma threshold and its sovereign wisdom is written to the Global Digital Twin Ledger.
The distributed record of all Sigma Collapses. Not a repository of ideal types — a record of actual histories. Each entry is a particular, not a universal.
